If you note any food allergy reaction whenever you or your love ones ate certain food ... from rashes, cough to asthma and anaphylactic reaction ... confirm it with an allergy test ... besides taking food allergen off the recipe and menu ... you need to ensure that there are no cross contamination from the worktop to equipments used ... read labels of packaged products ... unsured don't use ... it can be life threatening for someone with severe allergy and anaphylactic reaction.

Korean Kimchi Stew Recipe

Korean Kimchi Stew Recipe, Kimchi Jjigae

Ingredients:
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 120 g beef sirlion, shredded
  • 2 tsp garlic, smashed, chopped
  • 480 g kimchi
  • 1.5 lit beef stock
  • 120 g bean curd, into 3cm by 2 cm cubes
  • 2 tsp chilli powder
  • 2 spring onion, sliced
  • 1 small red or green chilli, sliced

Procedure for Beef Stock:
  1. put 1 kg beef shin in a pan with 2 lit water ... bring to boil
  2. simmer 10 mins ... skim off surface material 
  3. cover pan .. lower heat ... simmer  90 min
  4. strain stock for use  ... beef can be use for other purpose

 Procedure:
  1.  heat oil ... stir fry beef till color change
  2. add garlic, kimchi ... stir and mix well
  3. add beef stock ... bring to boil ... simmer 1 min
  4. add bean curd, chilli powder ... return to boil ... simmer 2 min
  5. sprinkle spring onion, chilli ... serve hot

 Note:
  • beef can be replace with pork
  • some like to substitute 250 ml beef stock with juice drain from kimchi jar
