Ingredients:
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 120 g beef sirlion, shredded
- 2 tsp garlic, smashed, chopped
- 480 g kimchi
- 1.5 lit beef stock
- 120 g bean curd, into 3cm by 2 cm cubes
- 2 tsp chilli powder
- 2 spring onion, sliced
- 1 small red or green chilli, sliced
Procedure for Beef Stock:
- put 1 kg beef shin in a pan with 2 lit water ... bring to boil
- simmer 10 mins ... skim off surface material
- cover pan .. lower heat ... simmer 90 min
- strain stock for use ... beef can be use for other purpose
Procedure:
- heat oil ... stir fry beef till color change
- add garlic, kimchi ... stir and mix well
- add beef stock ... bring to boil ... simmer 1 min
- add bean curd, chilli powder ... return to boil ... simmer 2 min
- sprinkle spring onion, chilli ... serve hot
Note:
- beef can be replace with pork
- some like to substitute 250 ml beef stock with juice drain from kimchi jar
